Responsible tourism was conceptualized for the purpose of ‘tourism’ to become one of the gateways to the protection, conservation and preservation of particular environments, locations and wildlife that takes residence in the area.
Protection in the aspect of, taking acts to prevent the contamination, pollution from human impacts and natural phenomenon that humans can prevent.
Conservation in the aspect of, the use of human and environmental resources would be used where it would supply the current needs but not jeopardize the resources of the future.
And lastly, preservation in the aspect of, were the lands + water areas and their natural resources should not be consumed by humans and should instead be maintained in a pristine condition.
With this three aspects, the goals to ensure that the environment and ecosystems would be able to last and be witnessed by more generations to follow.
Following the Sustainable Development Goals provided by the United Nations, efforts are being made to make tourism sustainable and responsible for years in our country. We as a nation must aim to leave less carbon footprint and elevate local economy by abiding my the 17 goals.
